VS Code & Cursor Extension Installation

The Orbicus Extension embeds agent chat, inline diff reviews, and background task management directly inside your editor.

Editor Compatibility

The Orbicus extension is fully compatible with:

• Visual Studio Code (v1.85+)
• Cursor
• VSCodium and other compatible editors

Command Line Installation

If the code or cursor CLI command is configured in your system PATH:

For VS Code

code --install-extension orbicus-dev.orbicus

For Cursor

cursor --install-extension orbicus-dev.orbicus

For VSCodium

codium --install-extension orbicus-dev.orbicus

Manual VSIX Installation

If you prefer offline or manual installation, download the standalone package:

1. Download orbicus-1.0.0.vsix.
2. Open VS Code, Cursor, or VSCodium.
3. Open the Extensions view (Cmd+Shift+X on macOS / Ctrl+Shift+X on Windows/Linux).
4. Click the Views and More Actions (...) menu at the top of the Extensions pane.
5. Select Install from VSIX....
6. Select the downloaded orbicus-1.0.0.vsix file.

Opening the Orbicus Sidebar

Once installed:

1. Click the Orbicus icon in the primary Activity Bar (left sidebar).
2. Open any workspace folder.
3. Use the chat interface to ask questions, plan features, or review diffs alongside your open editor tabs.
